  • Using Novabods

    What is Novabods?

Novabods is where children not only have fun, but learn at the same time!

Your child will begin their adventure as a cadet at the Launchpad and blast off to planet Numa or Alpha to begin the Novabods mission to explore and learn.

With a trial, you can explore planets Numa or Alpha at Base Camp level, but when you become a member, you can explore the whole of Novabods!

    Who is Novabods for?

Novabods is suitable for 5-7 year olds, however, all children can play and explore. You can load up to 5 children onto one account.

Take a look and sign up for a free trial here.

    How does it work?

Your children can complete missions in the Numa and Alpha planets and earn sparkly gems to play games in the super fun Asteroid Arcade.

All you need is a Wi-Fi connection and a computer, laptop or tablet device to log in.

For more information on the web browsers we recommend for Novabods, see the Technical Issues & Support section of the FAQs.

    How do I earn gems?

Gems are the Novabods currency! To earn them, cadets must take on the missions. The more they score, the more gems they’ll get to spend on fun games in the Asteroid Arcade!

    How do I earn badges?

To earn badges, all you need to do is play the missions! There’s a badge for every level and you get a badge for different achievements.

Why can’t I play on games in the Asteroid Arcade?

As well as completing fantastic missions, your child can play exciting games in the Asteroid Arcade. To play the games, your child needs to earn gems by completing the missions on planet Numa and Alpha, which aim to boost learning.

Why are there ‘padlock’ signs appearing on some levels?

If padlock signs are appearing on levels, don’t worry, you can still access them! All you need to do is complete at least four missions in the previous level which will automatically unlock the next level.

If you have a trial, you won’t be able to play missions beyond Base Camp - any levels you can’t access will be marked with a ‘membership shield’.

Do I need an Internet connection for Novabods?

Yes, to play on Novabods you will need an active Internet connection.

Is Novabods suitable for all skill levels?

Try it out and sign up for a free trial here.

Is Novabods suitable for children with special educational needs?

Yes, although the content could be challenging, there are no year levels on the content so children do not know what level they’re working at and can learn and have fun! The interactivity and reinforcement of incorrect answers on each mission means every child’s learning is super valuable!

Is Novabods suitable for non-English speaking students?

The interface is suitable, however, all the games are in English. This can be a great tool for those learning the language.

  • Online Safety

How can I keep my account safe?

The Novabods Team takes online safety extremely seriously. We highly recommend you choosing a secure password and never share it with anyone. When you create a password for Novabods, we’ll require you to include at least 1 upper case letter, 1 lower case letter and 1 number for security purposes.

Is Novabods safe for my child?

You can be rest assured that your child is playing in a safe online environment when they are on Novabods. At no point is their location revealed to others and your child cannot contact any other Novabods users whilst they explore Novabods.

In the PlayLive Pod, your child does get the chance to compete against other children live online. Here, other children can only see your child’s display name and in no circumstances will any users’ full name be displayed to anyone else here.

How do you keep my information safe?

Please read our Privacy Policy to see how we keep information safe here.

One of our lines of safety is our whitelist which is a dictionary of permitted words. If a word is not on the whitelist, it cannot be used by your child. This is applicable for PlayLive Words.

Another line of safety is that your child’s display name, which they use for Novabods, will only appear on PlayLive. Their full name will not appear.

Why are you asking for my email address?

We need to know your email address so that you can use it to log in to Novabods. We also need it to contact you about your membership information, if you request a new password or email and more.
